The West Ring

Recently I uploaded and tried to configure my gallery. Unfortunately I had some problems with file paths which meant that the config couldn’t be completed. Having installed it in the past on the old website, I wondered whether it was something to do with the newer version. So, I deleted it, and uploaded the older version. Still no joy!

It turns out that what I had taken to be a random default in a couple of the fields was the Gallery S/W being smart, and populating the first part of the full path. What I was trying to use, the path taken from my ftp root, had to be appended to what was already there. With that working I was able to complete the rest of the configuration. It was at this point that I thought it would be sensible to upgrade now whilst the gallery was empty… Hence the “Coming Soon” in the title!
