Hi Anthea

I did consider trialling GIMP but decided to stick with PE6. The main reason was that most of the magazines I read have lots of Photoshop tutorials and I need all the help I can get!

Hi Iain,
That's interesting to know because I've never checked to see if the way I save a picture keeps that data intact. I have been using GIMP and after reading your post I thought I should check to see if the EXIF data was on my Flickr photos. There isn't a "Save for web" option in GIMP but the EXIF data does appears to be there.
I don't know for sure, but I'd have to agree with you that the "Save for web" option in Photoshop is producing the smallest file size possible and therefore stripping out the EXIF data.

I use Photoshop CS and it keeps all of my EXIF details as you'll see on all my flickr pictures.

I just use the normal save/save as option.

Hi Stew

Bummer! That must be really annoying. I'm afraid I'm a Photoshop newbie so haven't seen anything that might explain why you're getting that.

If you do work it out could you post back and let me know?

Cheers

I use Photoshop 6 and have found that it strips out the exif data no matter how I save:

Save As
Save
Save for Web

I have no solution yet
